What Are Some Good Ways To Get Traffic To Your New Site or Blog?

Wow! You have a great idea for an internet business! You have already started to create a website or blog, awesome! You've selected a registered domain name for your site. You've spent hours just tweaking it into a professional looking, well received website or blog. You have done your research and you're confident the product or products you're promoting are high in supply and demand. You are now going to publish your site. You're so excited! You dream of all the wonderful things you're going to do once the money starts rolling in.

You've even created a blueprint as to how all this is going to work. But suddenly you stop everything. You stare at your computer screen. You are suddenly paralyzed by the thought of, "Oh my God...how will I get traffic to my site? This is the "right" question. That question faces everyone of us starting out to create an internet business. We have our ideas but how well will they really perform? What are some good ways to get traffic to your new site or blog? What are the best ways to obtain and keep traffic coming to your site? Well, there are several ways of going about this dilemma.

No matter what all those self-proclaimed, highly successful guru's say about their own product being the best one. It all boils down to getting traffic to come to your website or blog. I read an article once that told me I didn't have to pay for any traffic so long as I knew what to do and how to go about getting it. So I began to research just how successful site owners were obtaining traffic. I learned that one of the best ways to go about this is to become well versed with networking, familiarizing yourself somewhat in SEO (search engine optimization) and registering with social sites.

By doing so you build networking relationships which open the doors to so many people that are into the same things. They can offer a lot of advice and information that will help you become better at obtaining traffic or whatever other things you may be wanting to learn about. You build up friendships and trust with these people and as a result of networking (relating) you will begin to have visitor's to your site. A lot of the time those you build a networking relationship with will also refer your site to others that may be looking for your type of product. But remember this won't happen overnight, you have to have patience and be consistent with persistence.

As you build your networking relationships, you can begin building up an email list too. You gather emails and copy them into a folder. But remember, you must be sure you have the email owner's permission to send emails to their inbox. Because no one likes spam. Also be sure to include an unsubscribe link at the bottom of your emails, which give the recipients a choice as to keep receiving your emails or to decline them. It's also a good idea to place your own site link below your signature. If your recipients like what you're emailing them, they are sure to want to go to your website or blog.

Of course the best way to find out what will give you the best traffic stream to your site is to do your research. Test, test, test. By doing this tactic you will learn what really works and what doesn't. If you don't have a lot of extra money to spend (who does?) then look for information that is free or won't cost very much to invest in. Give these programs at least 3 to 5 months before trashing them. This way you'll be sure if it works for your site. No matter what, spending a lot of money can most likely turn out to be a waste of money. Apply yourself and always read the terms of service (TOS) before signing up with anything.

These tips on acquiring traffic for your site will benefit you greatly when applied correctly and diligently. When you are starting an internet business it's wise to go into it with the understanding that this will not get you rich overnight. There must be time and commitment applied to any successful business venture. What you put into your internet business, you get out of your internet business. You can accomplish having a successful internet business just stick to it, train yourself to network everyday, have a willingness to learn and most importantly...don't give up.

Cloud Storage - A Good Thing or A Not So Good Thing?

Many of us have seen the ads all over the internet about Cloud Storage.  So what is it?  Is it a good thing or a bad thing?  According to Wikipedia.orgCloud storage is a model of data storage in which the digital data is stored in logical pools, the physical storage spans multiple servers (and often locations), and the physical environment is typically owned and managed by a hosting company. These cloud storage providers are responsible for keeping the data available and accessible, and the physical environment protected and running. People and organizations buy or lease storage capacity from the providers to store user, organization, or application data.  Cloud storage services may be accessed through a co-located cloud computer service, a web service application programming interface  (API) or by applications that utilize the API, such as cloud desktop storage, a cloud storage gateway or Web-based content management systems.

You may have seen applications on your devices that offer Free-Storage. This is the hosts way of letting us use it and experiment with it to see if we like it. A lot of these host companies give us up to 5 to 8GB of Free-Storage, which is generous.  There are many video's that can show you how to use cloud storage and how to add your files to it. Which help to make things a lot easier.  Now altho' I am all for technology we have to keep in mind that IF you place all of your files, such as, photo's, documents, video's etc to cloud-storage, you could be at risk of something going wrong.  Where your personal information could get exposed all over the internet.  Don't worry, the chances of this happening is very slim with the security programs in place to protect your priceless information.  But nothing is full proof and you need to take precautions against that happening.  For instance if you have sensitive photo's, video's or documents, it may serve you better and be more secure for you to load them onto a flash-stick or disc and not use a cloud storage app.  You can also use cloud storage for video games that normally take up a lot of space on your system when downloaded.

But if you decide to use cloud storage you can load other files that are not as personal or as valuable.  When you do this, you open up space and make more room on your hard drive.  As an additional action you want to delete any temp. files, browsing history or any files that are of no use to you. These files tend to build up behind the scenes and just sit there and take up valuable space which in turn can make your computer run slow, draggy and eventually it will prevent your computer from running at its peak performance. So dump those, run a defrag on your system and restart your computer. This way any files or folders that you need to have on your computer or want to keep on your computer will be filed close together in the system and there won't be pockets here and there in your system which causes your computer to run slower. Check out How-To video's on what the benefits of defragging your system has. You can find it on youtube.
